The List Of Things To Do For Fall Cleaning

With the start of fall, checkup once again the list of things you need to do for fall cleaning and add a few to prepare your home properly.

For the interior of the house

Wash windows
Use a special natural solution for washing windows, such as a little vinegar mixed with water in a bottle, and wipe them with a microfiber cloth. Choose to do this in a cloudy day to see traces of dirt better.

Vacuum dirty linen, cotton and textiles materials
Set suction power to a minimum and use a brush attached. Vinyl curtains can be wiped with a damp microfiber cloth, if you think it needs more attention.

If the curtains are dirty, check the label for instructions.
Some curtains of cotton, polyester, rayon and wool can be machine washed. Always be careful with lace curtains and curtains, cloth, satin or silk.

Clean the walls
Remove dust, wash and rinse the painted or paneled walls.

Remove lighting systems attached to the ceiling.
Vacuum and clean very well upholstered furniture pieces and pillows.

Remove shelves in kitchen
Empty them, wash them, changing liners, throw things you do not need and reorganizes them.

Clear condensing coil system of the refrigerator
Use brush cleaner and vacuum it carefully.

Analyze wood floors
If you have wooden floors which are full of scratches, smooth them or refine them completely.

Clean your computer.
Remove dust from the monitor, clean your keyboard, and clean your monitor with a cloth microfiber.

Clean your closets
Throw things that you do not need for a complete reorganization.

Test smoke alarms and carbon monoxide.
Or install them if you have not done it yet.

Change the filter hood
If you have not changed the filter out of the hood in the last 6 months, now is the time to do it.

Clean the chimney
Inspect and clean the stove and the chimney in a professional manner.

Throw things you do not need from the attic, and reorganize it.

For the exterior of the house

Check wash pipes.
Clean the downspouts.
Clean the furniture from backyard then store it.
Empty hoses and store them in gardens.
Check exterior house paint. Finish it if necessary.
Empty swimming pool, cover it for the coming year.
